Quality architectural film lasts a long time. The warranty tells you how long the manufacturer stands behind it.
Warranty length
- Residential film: lifetime manufacturer warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking, delamination and color change.
- Commercial film: 10 to 12 years, depending on the film chosen.
- Exterior film: usually shorter, because it faces weather directly.
Manufacturer warranties cover the film itself. We also stand behind our installation. Warranty coverage starts once the job is complete and paid.
What shortens film life
- Cleaning with blades, scrapers or abrasive pads
- Harsh chemicals or pressure washing on exterior film
- Sprinklers and hard-water buildup on exterior film
- Cheap film. We don't install it.
The first 30 days
Right after installation, film can look hazy or show small water pockets while the mounting solution dries. That is normal and clears on its own. Don't clean the film for 30 days. After that, use a soft cloth and any non-abrasive glass cleaner.
