Security window film is not bulletproof, and no film makes glass unbreakable. What it does is hold broken glass together in the frame, and that turns out to matter a lot.
What security film actually does
- Slows forced entry. A smash-and-grab relies on the glass falling out in seconds. With film, the glass cracks but stays in place, so getting through takes repeated, loud effort in full view of the street.
- Reduces flying glass. Broken glass stays attached to the film instead of scattering into the room.
- Works with attachment systems. For higher-risk openings, we anchor the film to the frame so the whole pane stays put.

What it does not do
- It does not stop bullets. That takes rated bullet-resistant glazing, a different product.
- It does not make glass unbreakable. Hit hard enough, the glass breaks.
- It does not replace alarms, cameras or locks. It buys time for them to work.
