Nashville Window Tinting

Commercial and residential window film for Nashville and Middle Tennessee, installed by our own team out of our Murfreesboro Pike location.

Nashville, Davidson County

Built for Tennessee summers, and winters.

Most of our Nashville work is commercial: offices, schools and campuses, gyms, storefronts and new construction. We also film a lot of homes inside the city.

Middle Tennessee summers are long, hot and humid. The afternoon sun through south- and west-facing glass is what overheats a room, puts glare on every screen and keeps the air conditioning running. In the cold months the same glass lets the heat you paid for leak straight out. Window film works on both, and it does it without blinds that shut out the daylight.

  • Up to 84% of solar heat rejected (DR OptiTune 05)
  • Up to 93% glare reduction on screens and work areas
  • Less heat lost through the glass in winter with reflective films
  • 10–12 year commercial warranty, lifetime on residential film

Why Tennessee buildings get film

Heat, glare, and heat loss.

The complaints we hear most from Middle Tennessee customers, and what film does about each one.

Summer heat gain

South- and west-facing glass turns offices, classrooms and sunrooms into ovens by mid-afternoon. Solar control film reflects the heat before it gets into the room, which evens out temperatures and takes load off the HVAC.

Glare

Low sun in the afternoon, and in winter, puts glare across monitors, whiteboards and pool water. Film cuts it without blacking out the view, so people stop closing the blinds.

Winter heat loss

In the cold months, warm air inside loses heat through the glass. Reflective films send part of that heat back into the room, so the space next to a big window feels less cold. It is a smaller gain than in summer, and it varies by film and glass.

What we install in Nashville

Three films cover most buildings.

All Avery Dennison architectural films. The choice comes down to how much heat and glare you need to cut, and how you want the building to look from outside.

Homes in Nashville

A lot of residential work in the city, too.

Great rooms, sunrooms and walls of glass facing the back yard are the rooms we get called about. We usually recommend virtually clear SPe Lite 70 or DR OptiTune 30, with a lifetime warranty on either.

Questions

Nashville window film questions.

Do you have a location in Nashville?

Yes. Our Middle Tennessee location is at 701 Murfreesboro Pike, Ste 200, Nashville, TN 37210, run by our own Tennessee team. Call it directly on (615) 808-0025. We are open seven days a week, 9am to 6pm.

What kind of work do you do around Nashville?

Most of it is commercial: offices, schools and campuses, gyms and pools, storefronts and new construction, in Nashville and in fast-growing Smyrna, Murfreesboro and Nolensville. We also do a lot of homes inside the city. Our residential focus south of Nashville is Franklin, Brentwood, College Grove and the surrounding areas.

Does window film help in the winter too?

Yes, to a degree. The films we install are built mainly to keep summer heat out, but reflective films such as DR OptiTune also send part of the room’s own heat back inside instead of letting it all escape through the glass. It is a smaller effect than the summer benefit, and how much you notice depends on the film and the windows.

Which film do you use on commercial buildings?

Avery Dennison DR OptiTune is our go-to. DR OptiTune 20 rejects 67% of the solar heat and cuts 77% of the glare. On buildings where the owner wants a uniform reflective look, R Silver 35 rejects 65% of the heat. Where the glass has to stay virtually clear, SPe Lite 70 still blocks 52% of the heat. We bring physical samples to the site visit.

Can you put film on the glass in a new building?

Usually, yes. Most new commercial glass is dual-pane and often low-E, so we check film-to-glass compatibility before we recommend anything. On high-performance glass the extra gain from film is smaller, and we will tell you when that is the case. More on film and low-E glass.

Can you work around our business hours?

Yes. After-hours installation is available on commercial projects where an occupied building makes that easier, and we schedule floors and rooms so the business keeps running.

Which services do you offer in Tennessee?

Everything we offer in California: commercial and residential window tinting, safety and security film, anti-graffiti film, surface protection film, decorative and frost film, turf protection film and specialty films.

What is the warranty?

Commercial films carry a 10 to 12 year manufacturer warranty depending on the film. Every residential film carries a lifetime warranty. Our installation is warranted as well.

What does window tinting cost in Nashville?

It depends on the amount of glass, the film, the size of the panes and how easy the glass is to reach. The on-site quote is free, and afterwards we send a detailed written proposal with a fixed price, not a range.
